Before You Play Online: Hearthstone Patch 20.4.2 Updates

Play online the exciting world of Hearthstone. Being one of the longest-running online games, Hearthstone have recently released Patch 20.4.2 with some interesting changes. Here are the latest updates.

Though the changes it brings are minor, Hearthstone has done something never before seen in the game’s history with patch 20.4.2. With the update, the Soul Raider will no longer be used in the Wild format.

Blizzard Entertainment claims in the patch notes that banning cards will not become a pattern that can be repeated in the future. Still, the developers are open to feedback, as this is the first time they have removed a card from the finished product.

In addition, there will be minor adjustments to Battlegrounds mode, with two major adjustments toning down Quilboars and upgrading Mechs. These major changes affect the late game servant types with significant adjustments that will affect how players want to play both pools.

Tournament Format

It’s going to be a Conquest-style game with a ban. Each player gets four decks to play with. Players will have to adapt to each opponent and consider each ban carefully.

Updates to Hearthstone Battlegrounds

Among the changes to Hearthstone Battlegrounds are that players can now choose two new heroes to fight. Mutanus the Devourer has a devastation power that costs zero mana. This spell also removes a friendly servant, transfers its stats to another, and grants the player one gold.

The other new hero is Guff Runetotem who can use the Natural Balance ability as a one-mana ability. A friendly minion of any level gets +2/+1 from Natural Balance. Players in possession of Battleground Perks will have access to these heroes.

Maiev Shadowsong’s placement within the current hero pool will be temporarily changed. A player who has six or less minions once their turn ends will receive +3/+3 when Hexruin Marauder debuts as 3/5. Additionally, a new servant has been added to Hearthstone Battlegrounds: Hexruin Marauder.

Furthermore, Quilboar’s servants will not always appear in every game. The Siege Breaker will also no longer appear in Hearthstone Battlegrounds. Although no functional changes will be made to Cap’n Hoggarr, the card text will be revised to read “whenever” instead of “after”.

For players who love to compete in Arena Mode, the following card sets will be added to the pool:
– Goblins vs. Gnomes
– Darkmoon Races Mini-Set
-Scholomance Academy
– Ashes of Outland
– Goblins & Catacombs
– Core
– Forged in the Swamps

Malfurion Stormrage, the first elf night druid was also introduced with the latest patch and is unique to the World of Warcraft universe.

Over the past few weeks, Hearthstone Battlegrounds has been having some fun with the Quilboar. The Quilboar tribe will now rotate with the other tribes. As for the hero rotation, Maiev Shadowsong will be stepping down for now and will be replaced by two new players.
